How BJJ Can Help with Children's Development

There are many benefits that BJJ can bring to a person, but how does BJJ help in children's development?

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is type of martial art, so many parents would think "is it safe for kids?"

The answer is YES! Not only is it safe to learn, children who learn BJJ can keep themselves safe by utilising the techniques for self-defence.

Also known as the Gentle Art, BJJ can improve both body and brain functions during their most crucial time during development.

Did you know that BJJ can help children's development through social interaction? Ever since the pandemic, kids these days do not have interaction. Even more so that a lot of them are addicted to their gadgets, causing them to rather sit at home and be inactive. According to the CDC, 1 in 5 children are obese. Childhood obesity causes a myriad of health problems, such as diabetes and impacting musculoskeletal health, causing a stunted growth.

BJJ is a good way for kids to express themselves and release contained energy. It is also a great physical activity to keep them fit and healthy!
