As we bid farewell to the remarkable year of 2023, it's time to reflect on the incredible journey we've had at AOS Jiujitsu.
From relocating to a new and exciting space in Sri Hartamas from Seputeh in March, to partaking in various tournaments, such as MGL and ASJJF, and hosting enriching seminars, we'd like to express our gratitude to our dedicated teammates for being a part of our thriving community.

March marked a significant chapter in 2023 as we made a move to Plaza Damas to embrace a new and inspiring space after operating in Seputeh since late 2021. Although we were sad to leave the place where we called home for over a year, this move wasn't just about changing locations; it was about creating an environment that fosters growth, camaraderie, and a passion for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
In July, we were very pleased to have released our very own Naruto inspired AOS rash guards and gi!
We hope that by wearing our gym gi, it creates a sense of uniformity among members.
We also had something for the little ones! In October, we held a Halloween party to celebrate the spooky season with the kids!
A Halloween party filled with treats, costumes, games, and jiujitsu! Special shoutout to Charissa and our Mat Enforcer for coming by and helping out!
Throughout the year, our grapplers stepped onto the competition mats, representing AOS Jiujitsu with pride and determination. Building up to November, our team trained ceaselessly to showcase not only their technical prowess, but also the indomitable spirit that defines our gym in ASJJF.

Victories and lessons alike were celebrated, contributing to the improvements of our grapplers, and the reputation of our gym!
November and December are not only the holiday season, but over here, it is also the seminar season! Knowledge is a key component of growth, and in 2023, we had the privilege of hosting enriching seminars led by renowned BJJ practitioners, such as Professor Makoto and Jozef Chen.
Third degree black belt, Professor Makoto during his open guard seminar in late Nov.
It was a full house with visitors from all over Malaysia attending Jozef Chen's seminar.
These events not only provided our members with valuable insights into advanced techniques, but also served as opportunities for the broader BJJ community to come together and share their passion for the art.
Lastly, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the backbone of AOS – our incredible teammates. Many thanks to our dedicated coaches and our training partners pushing us to our limits. Each member plays a vital role in our journey.
As we step into 2024, we carry with us the memories, achievements, and the unshakable sense of unity that defines AOS. BJJ isn't just about submissions and sweeps; it's about building a community that supports and uplifts each other. In 2023, we welcomed new faces into the AOS family, creating a diverse and dynamic group of individuals passionate about the BJJ. Once again, we thank you for joining us on this journey!
